After the storm (Post-Extra Life ramble)

So Extra Life is over. And I was pretty blown away. Over 1,300 raised--and the entire team raised over 8,000.

So... that's pretty awesome.

I'm really tired, I'm still recovering from being up for 25 hours straight.

These thoughts are not grand or coherent.

My life needs more Catbug. And puppy-cat.

Maybe 'recovering' is a generous term.

... and now believe that I may need to livestream my entire Bioshock: Infinite experience. It was bizarrely well-received.

Still need to finish Longest Journey though too.

I have too many games I want to share with the world. I played LA Noir on my own last night--well, not on my own, but without the internet. I'm addicted to the puzzle-solving nature of it. (I ended up playing it until midnight last night and didn't notice the time passage)

I had to turn off the music when tracking down the Black Dahlia murderer in the catacombs below the church. It was making me anxious.

Music is freaky that way. And brilliant

God, I need sleep.

  1. I watched as much of your live stream as I could, and I love your videos. I am a definite "yes" vote for the Bioshock: Infinite stream, but I think I now want to buy LA Noir and play it myself. Are you switching your stream to Thursdays or will you be streaming tomorrow night?

    1. I think tomorrow night will be my last Tuesday stream--that way I can let people know who may not have caught what I said on Saturday.

  2. Several of us had a feeling you'd love LAmp Noire. Glad you've been enjoying it so far, and really looking forward to the potential stream of Bioshock: Infinite as well. Congrats on surpassing both your personal goal, and the team goal! I ended up passing out a few hours shy of making it through the entire stream (maybe 9am EST) so I missed the finish line, but it sounds like you hung in there with a fair chunk of the crew still intact. Can I just say, thanks for being a part of such a wonderful event. With all the negative press gaming gets in the media, it's so wonderful to be able to cite things like this to show how much gamers really care, and how we're all doing out part to make the world a better place <3

  3. I loved your live stream, and was there for most of it. I applaud you for your effort to give to children and raise funds through doing an event like this. And my fave was L.A.mp Noire. I hope to watch the play vids of that later on. As for continued game play of Bioshock and any other, I would love to come and watch (hopefully if I am home during the times it is streamed, which I most likely will be). Either way, great job, and amazing gameplay too. You are a true trooper, m'lady. I salute you.

  5. The livestreams were such wonderful things to watch and throw money at charities for. I was in and out of them all day watched Day of the Tentacle (one of my fav P&C games ever), 7th Guest (a game that stays in the nostalgia box never to be opened again), and could not tear myself away from Bioshock. Just your reactions to the world around you and you could clearly see it affecting you shows the power of storytelling in games. I would love to see you journey through the floating city of Columbia some more, but I hope that it does not put your feels through a wringer. There was such an abundance of great things to watch but you, Scott, and Paul were the highlights for me.
